About the Journal
Rivers State University Journal of Nursing and Health Sciences (RSU-JNHS) is a biannual peer-review publication of the Department of Nursing Sciences, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, College of Medical Sciences, Rivers State University, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria.

It publishes reviews and originally researched articles in Nursing and Health Sciences and other related disciplines such as Public Health, Epidemiology, Community Health, Biomedical Science, Anatomy, Environmental Health, Exercise Physiology, Nuclear Medicine, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Audiology, Neuroscience, Kinesiology, Anaesthesiology, Immunology and Medicine among others and it is international in scope.

Originality
All submitted manuscripts to the Journal are original articles, unpublished work and not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Plagiarism is not tolerated by the Editorial Board. Therefore all manuscripts submitted for publication are checked for originality using anti-plagiarism software to avoid violation of copyright law by the author(s). The similarity index of 20% is the benchmark acceptable by the Journal.

Peer-review
The articles that passed the anti-plagiarism test are then forwarded to two peer-reviewers who review the papers for improvements. The revised and accepted manuscripts are first published online and later in print.
